ABOUT OCEANSCIENCE
The Oceanscience Group is a world leader in development of oceanographic, hydrographic, and hydrologic deployment equipment designed to save survey time and improve data quality. Our major products are remotely-controlled and tethered instrumentation deployment boats for acoustic Doppler current profilers, the UnderwayCTD and UnderwaySV that introduced the possibility of affordable and compact profiling from a moving vessel, and the popular Sea Spider and Barnacle seafloor platforms. We supply turnkey remote hydrographic survey boat systems to individual project specifications, typically including environmental monitoring or bathymetry equipment, GPS positioning and data telemetry. Our experienced ocean engineers can design customized equipment deployment buoys, and we are the supplier of the Clamparatus ADCP frame to NOAA for the PORTS Aid to Navigation (ATON) system.

Z-BOAT APPLICATION FOCUS  HAZARDOUS AREA SURVEYS

The Z-Boat 1800 is ideal for remote bathymetric surveys of unsafe locations including hazardous water storage ponds, locations with limited access or dangerous water conditions. Eliminate safety concerns involved with surveying from a manned boat, and improve the quantity and quality of data for better engineering decisions.

Featured Survey:

An ideal application for remote Z-Boat surveying is bridge scour evaluation. The latest featured survey is from MN-DOT (Minnesota Department of Transportation, USA). Instead of launching a manned boat, a scour survey was conducted safely and efficiently from the Brad Waage Memorial Bridge at Roosevelt Lake.

NEW PRODUCT ALERT  Z-BOAT 1800MX NEW BIOSONICS SONAR OPTION

Habitat mapping echosounder manufacturer BioSonics Inc has teamed up with Oceanscience to help produce the Z-Boat 1800MX specially designed for inaccessible, shallow water habitat mapping surveys. The Z-Boat 1800MX can be used safely and conveniently with all data telemetered to the shore in real time.

BOOST SURVEY PRODUCTIVITY UNDERWAY PROFILING

With the latest freefall profilers and new innovations to reach deeper and faster, the Oceanscience UnderwaySV and UnderwayCTD continue to feature in more and more scientific and survey campaigns.
