Oceanscience offers a wide range of RF communications equipment for Riverboats, Q-Boats, Z-Boats, or buoy systems. Transceivers are available with single or multiple data channels. Data are multiplexed at the remote site, transmitted over the RF link, and de-multiplexed to multiple serial ports at the shore or base station. The standard compact packaging is a watertight aluminum IP67 case with IP68 connectors. Radios are available with license-free 2.4GHz or 900GHz Freewave technology offering the best available data transfer reliability in all weathers. Transmission ranges of up to 20 miles are possible with the appropriate antennae.
